Manchester Derby :10/12/2017

One of the biggest games of the season, a crucial one both in terms of feeling and title race, Manchester Derby. A game between two halves of Manchester and Mourinho and Guardiola, who continued their rivalary from Barcelona and Real Madrid times. This derby was a different for United fans as there was no Rooney in the team sheet and became different for city fans too as Aguero started on bench, Brazilian Jesus replacing him on the derby day.

 

 I am a Red Devil and being honest, We need to work more, especially Lukaku, he is not living upto his price and fame. He is a beast but one who wakes up not so often. He slept all the match and woke up just to assist two for Manchester City. He didn't made his presence felt and left Martial and Rashford to do wonders alone. His first derby appearance could be remembered just for this, this. Defensively, Reds were good , dealt with blues throughout the match. But in midfield, Reds gave too much space too Silva, De Bruyne , Sterling, enough to run through the pitch into Reds' half. De Gea was as good as always.

Blues were good on the ball as usual but not as good in finishing it off behind De Gea . Blues defence and Ederson was not challenged much by Reds attack other than a few runs by martial and Lingard. Reds were only once too near to equalizing when work of Rashford and Martial provided Lukaku a beautiful chance but his neck breaking shot was denied by Ederson and also the rebound attack by Mata, too on his face . Blues defence was a little floppy as seen by Rashford's goal and his rocket attempt straight to Ederson on the left poll, especially Delph.

At one moment in the match, it felt like City owners have bought some good referee too as the ref denied United a clear penalty for Otamendi's foul on Herrera and on protest, Herrera received a yellow card.

At the end , City left the Manchester Blue and Reds fans cursing Lukaku. Manchester United have slipped behind in the title race but still the race is ON!
