Academic Year 2017-18 Ends

A life of student goes around an academic session. So, is mine. Today, another academic session ended with a cocktail of feelings- happiness, regret, enjoyment and grief. The happiness of doing so many things, the regret of not performing academically as I should, enjoyment of meeting so many new people, the grief of not able to manage everything, But I know time will bring something good for me.

  • Happiness- The year was a roller coaster of experiences. In the summers, I wrote my first story and the most important feeling of appreciation from my grandfathers. Then, Yes I focused on my studies during Quarterly exams and did fairly good. Being almost every time in the top 5  and that too without tuitions (a trend in youth without which study seems impossible). And I have PCM. After that, the year went in touching the books, scribbling the feelings into words. I wrote a story. I started writing football match reviews. Receiving feedbacks was something nice. And I started using Quora, a heaven for writers, And how can I forget! Photography! My new love.
  • Enjoyment- Meeting new people brings joy, happiness, excitement, it brings a new spirit to us. Met a stranger from France which is now my friend. Talked to those with whom I had grudges, felt talking to such people makes your heart feel lighter and empties your mind of those memories. It is like deleting the junk files of your phone or PC.
  • Grief and Regret- I don't want to talk about. They aren't a thing to share. They are just for learning.

Other than this I would like to summarize what I learned this year.

  • Make every moment special. And if you don't you will have regret.
  • Never bring second thoughts for things you love and stay from thoughts that demotivate.
  • Do not overthink. It kills you.

  • Life is a mixture of happiness and regret. Collect the happiness and turn them into memories.
  • Do not forget to take away something from someone you meet, not things but values and skills.
  • Grief and regret are an important part of our life. They are the strict teachers of life who care about us and want us to be better than ourselves every time.
  • Nothing is impossible if we work hard. If an amputee can climb Mt. Everest, Arunima Sinha, anything is possible with hard work.

  • Try everything until and unless it doesn't harm you and your family.
  • A reminder,
